The following national credit reporting agencies will have a file on you. If you have been denied credit recently, you may be entitled to a free credit report. If you have not been denied credit recently, there will be a small charge (usually $8.00) for the report. Why Do I Need Three Credit Reports?

TRW, Equifax and Trans Union are three entirely different companies. Different companies report your credit to different credit bureaus… some report to all three. You need a copy of all three of your credit reports to make sure they are all reporting accurate information about you. You can bet there is a mistake on one or all of your credit reports.These mistakes or inaccuracies effect millions of Americans in a negative way… and most Americans are totally unaware of them. It is not uncommon to find someone else’s negative information on your credit file just because you and that someone have the same name.
